My events seem to have disappeared — did the app delete them?

First, take a breath — in almost every case your events are completely safe.

Calendar Op.2 doesn’t store any of your event data. It simply displays the events kept in your iPhone’s built-in Calendar app (and whatever accounts that syncs with, such as iCloud or Google). Because of this, installing, updating, or even deleting Calendar Op.2 cannot delete your events. When events seem to vanish, it’s nearly always that the calendar they belong to has been switched off from view.

Step 1 — Turn your calendars back on

  1. Open the built-in Calendar app (the one made by Apple).
  2. Tap Calendars at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Make sure every calendar you use has a checkmark.

Then open Calendar Op.2, go to Select calendars to display, and confirm the same calendars are enabled. In most cases your events reappear right here.

Step 2 — Check the built-in Calendar app

If they’re still missing, look in the built-in Calendar app itself:

  • They’re there, but not in Calendar Op.2 → it’s only a display or permission setting. See I don’t see any of my events.
  • They’re missing from the built-in Calendar too → the events are hidden or were removed at the account level — not by Calendar Op.2. Continue to Step 3.

Step 3 — Recover events that are truly missing

  1. Were the events syncing to iCloud? If so, iCloud can often restore your calendars to an earlier version. On a computer, sign in at iCloud.com and use the calendar/data‑recovery option. Apple’s reference is support article 102508.
  2. Not using iCloud (local only)? The events may be recoverable from an earlier device backup (an iCloud Backup or a computer backup made before they disappeared).

Prevention

Keeping iCloud Calendar sync turned on means your events are continuously backed up to your Apple Account, which makes recovery far easier if anything ever goes wrong.
